Marci's passion for art was inspired at a young age. As a child, she always remembers sitting at her little desk making a picture. It seemed she would often communicate visually. Whether it was in a Christmas card to family or a personal journal entry, there was always a drawing to be found. She remembers thinking how her little creations would become alive as she made the final touches.

She was home schooled through most of her schooling years. It was during this time that her first art teacher gave her the initial inspiration to pursue her natural drive toward art. She has since studied at The American Academy of Art in Chicago, Marwen (a not for profit organization in which she is now an alumnus) and at The Palette and Chisel Academy of Fine Arts in Chicago. It was at the latter that she studied with many amazing artists including Clayton J. Beck III. She is inspired by his paintings and teaching. Her work continues to grow because of her studies and dedication; each painting taking on its own personality. Clayton has been an inspiration and motivation for her for many years. She was and is blessed to be taught by him on how to see as a painter, to be given such jewels. She hopes in turn to continue to grow as an artist and to pass on these jewels to others so that they may also be blessed with such treasures.

She is also inspired by many of the great masters, including Antonio Mancini, John Singer Sargent, Norman Rockwell and Richard Schmid to name a few.
